Looking for techs that can work anywhere from Heavy duty repairs to maintenance/repairs on lawn equipment. Pay is based on experience and ability. Why Choose Bayside? If selected, we offer: · Outstanding & Competitive Pay Plans · Medical, 401K, and paid time off PTO! · Room for advancement Essential Functions · Diagnose, repair, recondition, service, and assemble equipment as assigned by the Shop Foreman. · Repairs equipment, including but not limited to, all size tractors, small engines, lawn mowers, all-terrain vehicles, construction, and farm equipment. · Maintains accurate and easy to read records of work performed. · Reports any work shortages and malfunctions of shop equipment to the Service Manager. · Completely disassembles and inspects equipment as quickly as possible, so parts may be ordered promptly, and machine work can be properly quoted and scheduled. · Recommends any additional necessary repairs to Service Manager and/or Customer. · Keeps shop vehicles clean and properly serviced. Reports any problems with vehicles to the Service Manager. · Stays up to date with technical changes and participates in continuing education with factory service schools. · Pays special attention to repeat repairs or comebacks to correct problems and avoid future job comebacks and unnecessary dealership expenses. · Fabricates and welds metal parts together when necessary. · Makes service calls as assigned by the Service Manager. Qualifications · High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required · Must have a valid driver’s license with a good record. · Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. · Must be at least 18 years of age. · A self-motivator with strong attention to detail. · The candidate(s) must also have their own appropriate level of tools required for most service work. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts; work in high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals and outdoor weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position and hours of work and days must be flexible to include some evening or weekend hours.
