Electrician I Continental Tide has an need for a Marine Electrician
I who will be a key support to our Fleet Services Group. The
location of this position is in Norfolk, VA. The Marine Electrician
will be responsible for supporting shipboard operations by
leveraging practical shipboard experience with HM&E systems and
equipment. *Please note due to the anticipated volume of responses,

duties & responsibilities include but are not limited to the
following: /n - Practical shipboard experience with HM&E
systems and equipment. /n - Inspecting, repairing, installing,
modifying, and maintaining electrical/electronic systems, circuits
and equipment. /n - Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues
with shipboard electronic and electrical system and equipment. /n -
Setting up, checking, and correcting operational and experimental
electrical machinery, circuitry, and equipment while adhering to
pre-established guidelines and engineering specifications. /n -
Interpret electrical schematics and installation drawings. /n -
Perform on-site field service for system grooms and checkouts,
minor repairs and system configuration validation. /n - Perform
and/or verify mechanical alignments. /n - Technical expertise with
power generation and transmission equipment, and motorized valve
actuators. /n - Assembles multi-pin connectors and fiber optic
connections. /n /n Experience and Skills /n - Must possess a high
school, trade, or vocational school degree. /n - 3 years of direct
experience in ship repair and installation of Hull, Mechanical &
Electrical (HM&E) systems and equipment. /n - Ability to read
and interpret ship installation drawings, installation
specifications and NAVSEA Standard Items is preferred. /n - Ability
to troubleshoot and diagnose issues with shipboard electronic and
electrical systems and equipment. /n - Technical expertise with
power generation and transmission equipment, as well as motorized
valve actuators, is essential /n - Familiarity with electrical
schematics and installation drawings. /n - Experience with NAVSEA
cableway and connectorization practices. /n - Technical expertise
with power generation and transmission equipment, and motorized
valve actuators. /n - Experience with Programmable Logic
Controllers (PLCs), fiber optics, and integrated network systems is
preferred. /n - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. /n -
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. /n - Ability to
work effectively in a team environment. /n /n Desired
Qualifications: - Certification in relevant areas is a plus. /n
Security Requirements: /n - Must be eligible to obtain and maintain
a DoD security clearance to access military facilities, naval
shipyards, private shipyards, and Naval installations. /n - Due to
export control regulations, this role is open to U.S. citizens
only. /n /n Travel Requirements: /n - Occasional Travel- up t0 10%
within and outside of the continental United States. /n - If a
position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure
federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain
(by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification

Requirements: /n - Required to visit project sites aboard ships and
rigs, both onshore and offshore. /n - Must wear various types of
personal protective equipment (PPE), such as hearing, eye, head,
and hand protection, as required. /n - Site visits may involve
standing on a variety of surfaces and angles, bending, crouching,
and climbing over obstructions such as scaffolding, ladders, and
internal barge or boat structural components. /n - Exposure to
sound levels exceeding 100 decibels. /n - Must possess sufficient
visual acuity, peripheral vision, depth perception, and night
vision to inspect marine components and systems, identify defects
or irregularities, and safely operate tools and equipment. /n - May
work in confined spaces with limited ventilation. /n - Requires
prolonged periods of sedentary work, including sitting and/or
standing. /n - May be required to operate machinery, power tools,
