Job Description Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in
School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1
years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do
not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This contract
opportunity is for a School Psychologist serving elementary
students in the Virginia Beach area. The assignment runs from
January 5, 2026, through June 16, 2026, supporting schools within
the Chesapeake Public Schools district. The role requires
administering assessments, attending key meetingsincluding
Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD), reevaluation, and
Individualized Education Program (IEP) sessionsand managing
caseloads tailored to elementary-aged students. Key
Responsibilities: - Conduct psychological evaluations and
assessments for elementary students. - Participate in all ARD,
reevaluation, and IEP meetings. - Collaborate with educators,
parents, and other professionals to develop and implement student
support plans. - Manage caseload and related documentation in
compliance with district guidelines. - Support students'
educational and emotional development through data-driven
interventions. Qualifications: - Valid State Licensure as a School
Psychologist. - Active Department of Education (DOE) Certification.
- Experience working within an elementary school setting preferred,
though new graduates are encouraged to apply. - Strong
interpersonal and communication skills. - Ability to work full-time
or part-time hours aligned with school day schedules (8:00 AM to
4:00 PM). Additional Information: - Contract position with start
and end dates from January 5 to June 16, 2026. - Case assignments
will vary by school. - This position requires on-site work; no
