Job Description Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in
School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1
years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do
not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Providing
psychological services within an elementary school setting in the
Virginia Beach area, this role focuses on supporting students'
educational and emotional development. As a School Psychologist,
you will play a key role in administering assessments,
participating in important meetings, and collaborating with
educators and families to foster student success. Key
Responsibilities: - Conduct psychological assessments for
elementary-aged students - Participate in Admission, Review, and
Dismissal (ARD), reevaluation, and Individualized Education Program
(IEP) meetings - Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school
staff to develop interventions and support plans - Maintain
accurate documentation and comply with state and district
guidelines - Support students academic and emotional well-being
through data-driven strategies Qualifications and Experience: -
State licensure as a School Psychologist - Active Department of
Education (DOE) certification - Experience with elementary
school-aged children preferred - Open to new graduates with
relevant clinical training and preparation - Strong interpersonal
and communication skills - Ability to work full or part time, with
school hours from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Position Details: -
Contract role from January 5, 2026, to June 16, 2026 - Placement
within Chesapeake Public Schools in the Virginia Beach area -
Caseload and assignment location vary based on need - Support
available for candidates at all experience levels This position
provides valuable hands-on experience working with elementary
students, contributing directly to their educational outcomes and
