Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and
minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required.

considered. This position offers an opportunity to serve as a
Special Education Teacher and Case Manager within a high school
setting in Newport News, VA. The role focuses on managing a
caseload of 7-8 students, providing tailored educational support
and developing individualized plans to meet diverse learning needs.
This is a contract position starting ASAP and continuing through
June 5, 2025, with a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week,
Monday through Friday. Key responsibilities include: Delivering
specialized instruction aligned with students' Individualized
Education Programs (IEPs) Coordinating case management duties to
ensure appropriate educational and support services Collaborating
with parents, staff, and external providers to promote student
success Monitoring and documenting student progress and adjusting
strategies accordingly Qualifications and desired credentials:
Valid Virginia Special Education Teaching License Endorsements in
specialized areas are considered a plus Experience working with
high school-age students in special education settings Strong
organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Benefits
