Public - G Job Duties The Department of Secondary Education and
School Leadership seeks applications for adjunct faculty in the
Master of Arts in Urban Education Principal Preparation Program
On-Line. The department is part of the School of Education and
offers the multi-dimensional Urban Education degree. Programs
within the department include a Master of Arts Urban Education
degree with concentrations in Administration and Supervision
PreK-12 (On-line), School Counseling PreK-12, Clinical Mental
Health Counseling, and subject area concentrations in Biology,
Chemistry, English, History, and Mathematics. These programs assist
in-service and pre-service practitioners interested in acquiring
state endorsements and enhancing their professional development.
Adjunct faculty will be expected to: Teach courses in an on-line
course delivery modality in asynchronous and synchronous formats.

Qualifications 1. Earned doctorate (Ph.D./Ed.D) in administration
and supervision with a concentration in P-12 education or related
field from an accredited college/university. 2. Experience in
building and/or central office practices, policies, organizational
structures, trends, and issues at the P-12 level. 3. Demonstrated
excellence in written and oral communication, collaboration, and
organizational skills. 4. Demonstrated commitment to educational
and social equity, particularly in the areas of access, discipline,
culturally proficient learning environments, and classroom educator
diversity. Preferred Qualifications: 1. Ph.D. in Administration and
Supervision or related field. 2. Five or more years of school
building level leadership as an assistant principal or principal.
3. Current school district administrator at the building or
district office level. 4. Current VDOE license with the
Administration and Supervision P-12 endorsement. 5. Demonstrated
ability to effectively utilize learning management Special
