Water Engineer with Arcadis U.S., Inc. (Richmond, VA)

Evaluate, plan, design, permit and support management of projects for water/wastewater/storm water treatment and conveyance (pipelines, treatment, and pumping facilities). Support professional engineering services during construction: construction observation, review of shop drawings, responses to request for information (RFI's) and permit closeouts. Assess, develop, and support management of sustainability and resilience projects including vulnerability and mitigation assessments, and planning and design for utilities, municipalities, and cities. Support Asset Management projects performing data analytics, operational and organizational assessments, condition assessments and overall performance evaluations of water/wastewater/storm water facilities. Support preparation of reports, presentations, and other audio-visual materials, and participate in client meetings. Ensure project compliance with all Arcadis practices and quality, health, and safety standards, and facilitate coordination for timely completion and submission of projects on time and budget. Work independently and as part of a team, with the flexibility to accommodate collaboration with team members across the U.S. and internationally.

Requirements: Requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field. Position requires 3 years of related experience, which must include some experience in each of the following skills: Autodesk Civil 3D; ArcGIS; HydroCAD; FlowMaster; HY-8; and WinTR-55. Requires the following certifications: Engineer-in-Training (EIT); VA DEQ SWM Plan Reviewer; and VA DEQ ESC Plan Reviewer.
