Job Description:
At Amazon Web Services (AWS), we're harnessing the power of
technology to revolutionize the energy sector. As part of this
mission, the Generator Services Manager, DCC Communities will play
a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and operational
excellence of generator systems across our Distributed Cloud
Computing environments. This role involves overseeing the
maintenance, repair, and optimal functioning of power generation
equipment, ensuring a seamless power supply to AWS's critical cloud
computing infrastructure. The ideal candidate will leverage their
technical expertise in energy systems and proactive management
skills to enhance our operational efficiency and sustainability
initiatives. Oversee routine maintenance and emergency repairs of
generator systems across multiple sites. Develop and implement
rigorous preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and
extend equipment lifespan. Lead a team of engineers and
technicians, providing technical guidance and performance reviews.
Collaborate with other AWS departments to integrate generator
operations with broader infrastructure and safety protocols.
Monitor and report on generator performance metrics, proposing
enhancements and upgrades where necessary. Ensure compliance with
local, state, and federal regulations regarding generator
operations and emissions. Manage budgeting, forecasting, and
procurement of spare parts and new equipment. Expertise in
generator systems, electrical engineering, or mechanical
engineering. Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Proficient in using predictive maintenance software and tools.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work
under pressure and manage multiple priorities. Medical Insurance
Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified
Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) preferred. PMP
certification is a plus.
