Job Title:
Manager, Vessel Operations, non-PA
Role Summary:
Responsible for supporting the senior manager of vessel operations.
Implementing and executing the global operational plans for short-,
medium- & long-term needs.
Primarily responsible for oversight of vessel scheduling and
operations for North American services and vessels operating
outside the Premier Alliance. Responsible for cost minimization and
evaluation related to vessel scheduling including bunker cost,
terminal standby/deadtime, and other vessel schedule-related
expenses. Back-up to Operational Managers whose primary duties
include PA EC and WC services. Creates/revises the procurement
policies and keeps up to date with the company guidelines and
compliance requirements. Responsible for management of and/or
administrative support for various marine programs including marine
safety, regulatory compliance, certain environmental programs
including CARB, damage prevention, and emergency response.
Responsible for cost minimization and evaluation related to vessel
scheduling including bunker cost, terminal standby/deadtime, and
other vessel schedule-related expenses.
