Job Description:

is seeking a Licensed Practical nurse to treat patients at Langley

Hours Monday through Friday. Eight (8) hours of duty between the
hours of 0630 and 1830.Essential Functions And Job
Responsibilities
- Serves as a Practical Nurse performing patient care and nursing
administrative duties for outpatients in accordance with
established policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines.
- Monitors and records age appropriate physiological
measurements.
- Assists with patient check-ins, admissions, discharges, and
transfers as directed.
- Provides individualized patient teaching on appropriate topics
to include preventative healthcare and health maintenance.
- Performs appropriate portions of medical examinations,
treatment, diagnostic, and clinical procedures.
- Records treatment, procedure rendered, and observed
effects.
- Identifies and records patient problems and appropriately
notifies provider/nursing team of observations.
- Recognizes and responds to emergencies and performs basic life
support measures.
- Performs appropriate portions of physical examinations
including age appropriate physical measurements.
- Adheres to infection control procedures including use of
personal protective equipment, disposal of waste, and aseptic
technique.
- Performs central sterile supply duties.
- Ensures all equipment is properly assembled, operates, cleaned
and stored at the end of each work shift. Ensures preventive
maintenance and routine cleaning are performed as directed.
- Performs medical records reviews and applies appropriate
protocols and guidelines to determine medical needs.
- Maintains patient medical records in electronic format as well
as hard copy as required.
- Participates in training and continuing education programs for
new procedures, techniques, and equipment.
- Establishes and maintains appropriate, professional,
interpersonal relationships with coworkers, families, peers, and
other team members.
- Perform other task and administrative work (peer review,)
within nursing scope of practice in the clinic. Serves and
participates in committees, functions, and other meetings as
directed by clinic leadership.
- Provides relevant and timely information to these groups, and
assists with decision-making and process improvement.
- Participates in customer service initiatives and medical
readiness activities designed to enhance health services.
- Proficiency in Comprehensive Health Care System (CHCS), Armed
Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA), and
Automated Data System (ADS) is desirable.
- Applies the nursing process in care of patients. Demonstrates
sound assessment and clinical decision-making skills.
- Maintains currency of skills through ongoing in-service
training and continuing education.Minimum Requirements
- Degree/Education: Graduate from an accredited community
college, junior college, college, university or vocational nursing
program approved by the appropriate State agency and accredited by
the Commission on Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA) or another
acceptable accreditation body outlined in the TO.
- Certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS
- Experience: One year of practical or vocational nurse
experience after graduation.
- Licensure: Current, full, active and unrestricted license as a
