Job Description - RN Shift Coordinator (Charge Nurse) (PT, Day/Eve) - Emergency Medicine and Trauma Center (2500016G)Job DescriptionRN Shift Coordinator (Charge Nurse) (PT, Day/Eve) - Emergency Medicine and Trauma Center - (2500016G)DescriptionAll nursing practice is based on the legal scope of practice, national and specialty nursing standards, CNMC Policies and Procedures, and all applicable laws and regulations. The Professional Model of Care requires registered nurses to be responsible and accountable for their own practice. CNMC supports the development of RN relationships within the community, especially those linked to community health and well-being. The Shift Coordinator directs and/or participates as a team member in patient care delivery on a shift-to-shift basis. In collaboration with unit leadership, they participate in planning, managing, and evaluating clinical care to ensure continuity of care.QualificationsMinimum Education: Bachelor's Degree (Required)Minimum Work Experience: 2 years nursing experience (Required); 1 year recent pediatric experience in a comparable setting (Required)Required Skills/Knowledge: Successful completion of hospital and nursing orientation at CNMCRequired Licenses and Certifications: Registered Nurse license in District of ColumbiaFunctional Accountabilities
