Terms and conditions apply**Surgical Technologist (operating room scrub technician) sets up sterile field, gathers supplies for surgical cases, based on knowledge of instruments and equipment to be used. Surgical Technologist (operating room scrub technician) may pass instruments to surgeons.The Surgical Technologist (operating room scrub technician) performs count procedures per policy during surgical cases. This position functions under the direct supervision of an RN.The Surgical Technologist II (operating room scrub technician) sets up sterile field, gathers supplies for surgical cases, based on knowledge of instruments and equipment to be used. This position passes instruments to surgeons during surgery. This position also performs count procedures per policy during surgical cases.The Surgical Technologist II serves as a resource and preceptor to less experienced Surgical Technologists and takes call for routine and high acuity cases after orientation period. This role also learns, performs and completes assignments/responsibilities assigned during the transitional duty period.Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire:Registered by the State Board of Medicine and Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Tech in Surgery-Certified (TS-C) or Certified Operating Room or Surgical Technician (CORST) certification.Certification or Registration Requirement for Continued Employment:Registration by the Virginia State Board of Medicine, Current AHA, BLS, HCP Certification Current CST; TS-C or CORST requiredExperience REQUIRED:Minimum of 6 months experience as a Surgical Technologist or related scrub tech position.Experience PREFERRED:2 years experience as a surgical technologist or related scrub technician positionEducation/training REQUIRED:High School Diploma or equivalent Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program or a military training program or Licensed Practical Nursing ProgramEducation/training PREFERRED:Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology ProgramJob Types: Full-time, Part-timeExpected hours: No more than 40 per weekLicense/Certification:* Certified Surgical Technologist (Required)Ability to Relocate:* Richmond, VA 23298: Relocate before starting work (Preferred)Work Location: In personby Jobble
