Job Description:

Responsibilities Provide on-call, as-needed coverage for cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgery services at VHC, Inpatient and ER. Manage a limited number of inpatient cases, with a focus on post-operative care and management Perform both cardiac and thoracic surgeries as needed, with an emphasis on urgent or emergent procedures Maintain a high standard of care and quality in all patient interactions and procedures Work collaboratively with mid-level providers for patient care support Minimum Requirements MD or DO Currently licensed or able to obtain the license in Virginia Successful completion of residency program in Cardiothoracic Surgery Fellowship training in Cardio or Thoracic Surgery Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery Training and familiarity in the use of EPIC (EMR) preferred HOW TO APPLY?
