Job Description Lifecare Family Medical, located in the heart of Powhatan, VA, is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician to join our team. Youll be stepping into a busy practice with strong community roots and a leadership team dedicated to mentoring, collaboration, and long-term success. Practice Details: - Patient Volume: Avg. 35 patients/day - Schedule: - MonThurs: 8:00am5:00pm - Fri: 8:00am12:00pm - Call: Shared light call, very infrequent (23 calls per week max) - Support Staff: - 2 Medical Assistants, 1 LPN (inbox management) - 23 front office staff - Long-tenured Office Manager and in-house Biller Scope of Practice: - Mostly adult patients, some teens (minimal pediatrics) - Full-spectrum primary care: chronic disease management, preventative, acute visits - In-office procedures: biopsies, cryotherapy, toenail removal, I&D, womens health Ideal Candidate: - MD or DO in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine - Excellent communication and teamwork skills - New graduates welcome, mentorship and training provided - Long-term interest in leadership, community medicine, and continuity of care Our practice is a proud member of Privia Medical Group, a national physician organization with more than 4,500 providers with over 1,100 locations in multiple states.
