Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Lynchburg, VA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,109 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/9/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Lynchburg, Virginia, 24501! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intermediate Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required. License: Active RN license required upon start. Certifications: ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (expires), BLS Must-Have: Charge experience preferred; prior travel experience required. Description: Replacing a staff member on the team. Charge responsibility is required, and the RN will receive appropriate pay differential and training. Work history must explain all gaps in employment over 90 days. Skills checklist and copy of nursing license are necessary. All requested time off must be included at the time of submission. Candidates must be able to work 2 of 3 winter holidays. Block schedules can no longer be accommodated but weekend-only requests may be considered. The patient population includes a mix of medical-surgical, telemetry, cardiac intermediate care unit acuity level patients, neuro patients, and CVA patients. The assignments for night shifts end on Saturdays. The unit tries to follow a schedule of 2 out of 3 weekends a month based on unit needs. Limited requests for time off are accepted, and the client can cancel shifts up to 36 hours prior to the assignment due to census changes. Active engagement and support for students and new hires is expected from all team members.
