Neonatologist – Harrisonburg, VA Permanent (Perm) Position

Job Summary: We are seeking a Board-Certified Neonatologist to join
our dedicated team at Sentara Rockingham Memorial Hospital in
Harrisonburg, Virginia. This is a prime opportunity to provide
high-quality neonatal care in a supportive, collaborative
environment within the scenic Shenandoah Valley. The position
offers a balanced professional workload with a focus on
family-centered care and opportunities for clinical growth and
research. Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive care to
neonates in a Level II special care nursery, supporting a 6-bed
unit with 24-hour shifts and flexible scheduling options.
Participate in a collaborative model with pediatric hospitalists
and neonatologists to deliver seamless, family-centered healthcare
for newborns. Contribute to the ongoing development and expansion
of neonatal services, including plans for program growth. Engage in
quality assurance activities through Continuous Quality Improvement
(CQI) initiatives and contribute to clinical research projects.
Access subspecialty support when needed from available neonatal and
pediatric specialists. Foster best practices by exchanging
knowledge and ideas with a network of thousands of Pediatrix
providers across more than 400 NICUs nationwide. Qualifications:
Medical Degree (MD or DO) Board Certification in Neonatology (must
be certified or eligible for certification) Valid medical license
to practice in Virginia or eligibility to obtain one Excellent
communication and teamwork skills Commitment to providing
compassionate, family-centered neonatal care Work Schedule &
Environment: 24-hour shifts with flexible out-of-house call
schedules Opportunities for commuting for qualified candidates Not
