working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Cath Lab RN in
Chesapeake, Virginia, 23320! Job Title: Cardiovascular Holding RN
Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cath Lab Holding Duration:
13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Hours Experience: Minimum
of 2 years nursing experience in Critical Care, Emergency Services,
Cardiac Cath Lab, Pre-Post Care Unit, or Cardiac Rehab preferred.
Must have pre and post-recovery experience with patients undergoing
minimally invasive cardiac procedures. License: Compact or state
nursing license in hand - no exceptions. Certifications: BLS and
ACLS required through the American Heart Association. Must be EPIC
proficient - no exceptions. Must-Have: Candidate should have
critical care exposure with cardiac patients. Description: The role
involves providing care for cardiac patients in a holding unit.
Candidates should possess experience with procedures such as
coronary angioplasty, stents, IABP, and electrophysiology studies.
Experience with managing associated medications and drips is
essential. Candidates are expected to have a strong background in
telemetry and cardiac monitoring. This position requires
availability for shifts that may vary between 7 am and 7 pm. There
will be no weekend or on-call duties. All candidates must have a
clean license and background history. Any previous license or
background issues will disqualify a candidate from consideration.
Fit test requirements must be met; any history of fit test issues
will eliminate a candidate from consideration. Candidates must
demonstrate knowledge of EKG interpretation and telemetry patient
care. Modules are required prior to starting the assignment. This
position involves working with an interdisciplinary team that
includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and
pharmacy. Ability to manage critical care tasks, including starting
and maintaining IVs and administering blood products, is crucial.
The facility will not accommodate issues related to PAPR fit
testing. Candidates must possess the ability to evaluate and manage
dysrhythmias. Candidates should be prepared to demonstrate their
skills in cardiac patient recovery and management. This position is
