Job Description Job Description Role Summary The Cardiology
Technician performs non-invasive cardiac diagnostic procedures to
support physicians in diagnosing and treating patients with acute
and chronic cardiovascular conditions. This role explains
procedures to patients, obtains and records electrocardiograms and
related studies, and ensures accurate documentation and timely
reporting across inpatient and outpatient settings. What You’ll Do
Obtain and record EKGs and related diagnostic studies for
inpatients, ambulatory care, and referred outpatients.
Connect/disconnect Holter monitors; scan recordings, complete
Holter reports, maintain daily logs, and support timely delivery of
reports and charge documentation. Operate stress test and EECP
equipment; serve as technical assistant during procedures. Perform
signal-averaged EKG testing. Enter accurate patient data into
clinical information systems; edit and store confirmed
electrocardiographic data. Assist during tilt-test procedures.
Obtain pacemaker tracings; identify artifacts/abnormal patterns;
recognize life-threatening arrhythmias and report abnormalities to
the attending physician. Receive and manage trans-telephonic
monitoring data and coordinate follow-up scheduling. Prepare and
review billing information for submission and provide required
information to support pre-registration workflows. Respond to Code
“Dr. Dan” as paged. Assist with training of new staff on cardiac
testing equipment and procedures. Perform other related duties as
assigned. Required Qualifications Education High school diploma or
GED required. Certifications Certification in Electrocardiographic
(EKG) techniques from an approved technical or vocational program
required. Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Experience Prior
cardiology technology experience preferred. Knowledge, Skills &
Abilities Ability to operate and maintain EKG, Holter, stress
testing, and related cardiac diagnostic equipment. Ability to
recognize electrocardiographic artifacts, pacemaker activity, and
life-threatening arrhythmias. Knowledge of basic cardiac life
support principles. Proficiency with computer systems and clinical
documentation platforms. Ability to maintain patient
confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively

Local 2094 Pay Range (Hourly): Grade 2094-11 ($17.80–$28.48) FLSA
Status: Non-Exempt Schedule: Day Shift Monday-Friday, On-Call Work
Environment: Frequent standing and walking; occasional
bending/squatting; lifting and moving equipment as required
