Job Description Job Description Overview of Position: The Nurse
Manager (NM) for Ardmore Enterprises is a registered nurse with
demonstrated expertise in case management, leadership, and
management skills, demonstrating a high degree of professionalism,
directs the planning, implementation and evaluation of care and
management of I/DD populations. The NM works collaboratively with
all departments to ensure that nursing services are delivered at
the appropriate level in keeping with DDA and MBON regulations. The
NM is responsible for creating an environment conducive to
achieving quality outcomes, effective use of resources and
retention of quality staff. He (she) is responsible for the
management and development of his (her) resources, human and fiscal
if needed, to include implementation of quality control, quality
improvement, satisfaction of supported individuals, families, and
staff as well as review and revision of policies and procedures, as
needed. The NM collaborates with other department leaders on issues
related to the effective management of health and safety and
interacts regularly with the appropriate resources to ensure the
effectiveness of care. He/she will also act as liaison between the
organization and DDA, associated hospitals, long term care, or
rehabilitation services as needed. The NM will assume a small
caseload within the Meaningful Day services department. The NM is a
resource within the organization regarding nursing services, and
related issues within the community. This is a full-time 40 hour
per week position. Some evenings and weekends may be required
Management of Personnel Along with the Senior Director of Services,
interview and select nursing candidates who have appropriate
clinical skills and professional characteristics to match service
needs. Communicate on an ongoing basis with employees regarding
specific performance expectations. Plan and conduct formal
performance reviews that are timely, ongoing, and objective and
submit necessary documentation. Responsible for the promotion and
termination of employees based on standards of practice, standards
of care, nursing policies and procedures, and DDA regulations.
Delegate activities/work projects to staff and supervise their
accomplishment. Manage an assigned caseload within the Meaningful
Day services department and provide Nursing Case Management and
delegation functions to include, on-site visits based on assessed
need, but at a minimum of every 45-days if the need is assessed and
the person has a nursing care plan. Visits should include an
individual assessment of health status, evaluation of medication
administration delivery system, including a review of the
Medication Administration Record(s) (MAR’s), Medications and
Physician Medication Order Forms (PMOF’s) for those clients needing
nursing delegated duties. (This time frame is based on original
MBON and DDA guidelines and will be adjusted as directed by the
MBON and DDA in State of Emergency situations.) Delegate medication
administration and approved nursing tasks to Certified Medication
Technicians (CMT) in the meaningful day setting. Provide and
maintain an established nursing on-call coverage for
medical/nursing related matters as scheduled. Provide evaluation of
competency of Medication Technicians. Provide instruction in the
Medication Technician Training Program as needed by the
organization. Management of Resources Provide recommendations to
adjustments in the nursing staffing patterns to reflect changes in
care requirements, patient census, and staffing resources for
Nursing. In collaboration with the Senior Director of Services,
develop the annual budget based on nursing department and
individual census. Assure that nursing review data is submitted for
a workload system is accurate, timely, complete, and reliable.
Clinical Practice and Leadership Assure that nursing case
delegation and management provided is within standards of COMAR
10.27.11, 10.22, and is evidence based best practice. Collaborate
with community-based health care providers as an advocate for
people supported. Participate in strategic planning for the Nursing
Department and Leadership Team as needed. Professional
Development/Effectiveness Maintains status as a DDA RN CM/DN.
Maintain knowledge of current trends and practices in nursing and
health care through resources such as literature review and
professional networking. Demonstrate professional effectiveness as
a manager and role model through efficient time management,
effective organization of work, and prioritization. Other Duties as
Assigned Provide established nursing on-call coverage for
medical/nursing related matters as assigned. Provide evaluation of
competency of Medication Technicians. Provide instruction in the
Medication Technician Training Program as needed by the
organization. New Admissions: Assess the individual, review medical
history, current medications, setting for delegation and make
recommendations to designated staff. Develop an Initial nursing
evaluation and nursing plan of care, where applicable. Be available
to the staff/Managers/Directors to answer questions concerning
medical and/or medication issues. Conduct staff training as
appropriate/indicated. Consult with physicians, family members,
guardians, team members and pharmacy personnel as
requested/indicated. Advocate for the people supported within
meaningful day services. Be familiar and comply with the standards
of Nursing Practice set forth in the Maryland State Board of
Nursing Practice Act, 10.27.11. Maintain confidentiality of all
individuals and promote individual rights. Compliance with The
Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. Qualifications
Registered Nurse licensure required Minimum of 2 years of nursing
experience required Minimum of 2 years management/supervisory
experience required Prior case management experience required Prior
I/DD experience a plus Required Conditions of Employment Must meet
eligibility for employment in the United States. (Provide
appropriate I-9 documentation on first day of employment). Must
have a clean criminal history. Must be able to pass a drug
screening. Ardmore participates in random and scheduled drug
screening. Must demonstrate strong work ethics, integrity, and
dependability in all work-related activities. Must comply with
general public health and industry specific safety standards.

Paid On-site Trainings Work in a hybrid environment combining in
office and remote work is required. Current requirements are at
least 3 days in office Salary Range $105k-$110k annually Ardmore is
