Job Description:
Genesis HealthCare, a leader in providing comprehensive care in
both long-term and short-term recovery settings, is seeking a
dedicated Social Services Director to join our team. This role is
essential in maintaining our commitment to enhance the lives of our
patients through expert nursing and personalized rehabilitation.
The Social Services Director will oversee the delivery of social
services within our facility, focusing on the psychosocial
well-being of each patient and ensuring compliance with all
federal, state, and local regulations. This pivotal position
coordinates with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care
and support to both patients and their families. Develop and
oversee a comprehensive social services program within the
healthcare facility. Manage and supervise the social services
department staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating
performance. Assess the psychosocial needs of patients and
families, formulating and implementing appropriate care plans.
Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local
regulations and ethical standards. Collaborate with other
departments to provide integrated care that meets the holistic
needs of patients. Facilitate communication between patients,
family members, and medical staff to ensure understanding of
treatment plans and alignment of goals. Lead community outreach and
resource development initiatives. Strong leadership and
organizational skills Excellent interpersonal and communication
skills Proficient in case management software and medical records
systems Ability to handle high-stress situations and make critical
decisions Proficient understanding of healthcare laws, regulations,
and ethics Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life
Insurance 401k Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or similar
credential required. Certification in healthcare administration or
management preferred.
