Job Description Family Medicine opening in Alexandria,
LAFull-time; PermanentEmployed Overview: Hours: Two weeks in
outpatient clinic (Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm) and One
week in hospital ICU (7 day shifts, 13 hours per shift) Responsible
for examining, diagnosing, and treating patients with a wide
variety of clinical problems of human disease. Use competency of
technological procedures and devices used in acute care settings to
treat a broad range of conditions common among patients.
Responsible for managing the physician-patient relationship in
complicated ethical and social areas such as end-of-life decisions,
advance directives, estimating prognosis, and counseling of
patients and their families. Lead a team of experienced
professionals including resident physicians, physician assistants,
nurse practitioners, respiratory therapists, vascular access
specialists, physical and occupational therapists, speech and
language therapists, and nurses. Collaborate with other specialists
as needed in continuous care for hospitalized patients.
