Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview - Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs - Hours: 36 hrs/wk - Start Date: Feb 9, 2026 - Length: 13 weeks - Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry unit, requiring a compact or VA RN license and at least two years of recent experience. Details - Position is on a 21-bed Stepdown/Telemetry unit focusing on a neuro patient population - 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend and holiday required - Unit staffed with 2 CNAs per shift - Heparin gtts and virtual safety companion technology are utilized - Dysrhythmia (EKG) testing required at orientation with study guide provided - No local candidates accepted; candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility Requirements - Active RN license from VA or a compact state required - Minimum of 2 years RN experience required - Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required - Stroke certification and neuro experience strongly preferred - Previous travel nursing experience preferred - Must pass dysrhythmia exam during orientation Additional Information - Primary responsibilities include care coordination, patient and caregiver education, administering medications, and managing patients with complex multi-system needs - Expected to advocate for patient safety and quality care in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team - Candidates will be interviewed by the manager after clinical review, which may delay offers - Testing and vaccination requirements must be met prior to start - First time travelers are not preferred for this assignment - Scrub or dress code information will be provided during onboarding American Traveler Job ID P-663964.
