Job Description:

MedStar Health is seeking a dedicated Clinical Pharmacist to work overnight shifts at our facilities. This role is instrumental in providing exceptional patient care, optimizing medication therapy, and enhancing patient outcomes. The Clinical Pharmacist will be deeply involved in the direct care of patients and collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure the safe, effective, and efficient use of medications. This position offers a challenging but rewarding opportunity to specialize in diverse clinical areas and improve patient health in our community. Monitor patient medication therapy and provide appropriate interventions. Advise healthcare teams on medication therapy options based on the latest clinical evidence. Educate patients and their families about medication management and therapy compliance. Conduct medication reconciliation and review for drug interactions. Participate in healthcare team rounds and contribute to treatment plans. Ensure compliance with healthcare laws, standards, and practices. Strong clinical skills in pharmacotherapy management Adept at data analysis and clinical decision-making Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and time management skills Proficiency in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active Pharmacist licensure in the state of practice. Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy (BCPS) or other relevant specialty is preferred.
