MedStar Health is seeking a dedicated PRN Acute Care Occupational Therapist to join our team servicing the DMV area. The successful candidate will devise and implement strategic therapeutic plans tailored to individual patient needs, focused on functional mobility and daily living skills recovery. You will be part of a compassionate team dedicated to empowering patients through therapeutic practices, aiming to improve their quality of life during critical health phases. Evaluate patients' functional status and ongoing needs through proper assessments. Plan and implement therapeutic strategies that focus on functional recovery and daily living skills. Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Document patient care and track progress to adjust treatments as necessary. Educate patients and their families on therapeutic strategies and home exercises. Ensure that all care delivered complies with set legal and ethical standards. Strong knowledge of therapeutic practices for acute care Excellent patient assessment skills Ability to plan and execute customized therapeutic interventions Adept at interdisciplinary collaboration Strong communication and documentation skills Valid state occupational therapy license NBCOT certification CPR certification
