Job Description:
MedStar Health, a leading not-for-profit healthcare organization
in the D.C.-Maryland-Virginia region, is seeking a compassionate
and skilled Emergency Services Tech to join our dynamic healthcare
team. In this role, you will provide critical support in our
fast-paced emergency departments, delivering patient-first care in
line with our commitment to enhancing health through high-quality
services. This position offers you a platform to directly impact
patient outcomes through your knowledge of emergency procedures and
your ability to provide both technical and emotional support to
patients in urgent care settings. Provide timely technical support
and assistance to emergency room doctors and nurses. Perform
initial patient assessments and convey important information to
healthcare professionals. Assist in the stabilization of patients
and participate in emergency resuscitative procedures. Prepare and
organize medical equipment and supplies needed for effective
patient care. Maintain a clean and safe environment compliant with
healthcare safety standards. Document patient care services by
charting in patient and department records. Strong ability to
operate medical equipment Effective communication and interpersonal
skills Capacity to work under pressure in emergency situations
Solid understanding of health safety protocols and procedures
Ability to perform well in a team-driven environment Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred. Basic Life Support
(BLS) Certification required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
(ACLS) certification is advantageous.
