Job Details – Locum Tenens Hospitalist / Physician Weekly Estimated Pay: $6,200 - $7,340 Location: On-site at a modern hospital facility in Ahoskie, NC (zip 27910) — Ahoskie, North Carolina hospitalist job Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:30pm - 7:30am) — night hospitalist Shifts per Week: 3 Hours per Week: 36 Duration: PRN, short-term locum tenens assignment (2 weeks) Start Dates: June 12, June 13, June 14 Job Requirements – Physician Qualifications Minimum 1 year of hospitalist experience required — inpatient physician experience preferred Active, unrestricted North Carolina medical license (MD or DO) required BLS certification required Comfortable performing ICU/critical care duties, including ventilator management — critical care hospitalist skills Ability to run codes and provide emergency inpatient interventions Familiarity with EPIC EMR preferred Responsibilities – Inpatient Care & Critical Care Duties Provide comprehensive inpatient care as a hospitalist physician (inpatient only) Manage an average inpatient census of 54, with approximately 16–18 patients per night Handle an average of ~2 admissions per day during shift Perform ICU/critical care duties, including ventilator management and crisis response Run codes and lead bedside resuscitation when needed Work across a 23-bed surgical unit, 28-bed medical unit, and 10-bed ICU No call coverage required Not expected to serve as backup to the Emergency Department Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (nurses, respiratory therapists, specialists) to deliver high-quality patient care Apply now to this locum tenens hospitalist opportunity in Ahoskie, NC.
