Center; named for two Medal of Honor recipients – Colonel Van
Barfoot and Colonel Carl Sitter – provides the gold standard in
quality care for Virginia’s Veterans. This single-level facility
features 200 single-occupancy rooms across four nursing units.
There are three (3) available shifts, please select which shift you

1130PM Overnight Shift - 11PM - 730AM Job Duties Sitter & Barfoot
Veterans Care Center (SBVCC) is recruiting for a Certified Nurse
Aide to work a schedule shift of 3:00p.m-11: 30p.m CNAs are
expected to perform the following duties: • Assist with meals and
escorts residents to the dining hall. • Make rounds regularly,
answer call lights promptly and respond courteously. • Complete all
required paperwork/computerized documentation for charting
assessments. • Provide each resident the necessary care in
accordance with his/her plan of care and ADL record. • Monitor and
observe residents’ physical, mental, and emotional status, and
report changes to Charge Nurse. Minimum Qualifications • Current
Virginia Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) license. • Excellent verbal and
written communication skills. • Knowledge of personal care needs
and activities of daily living (ADL’s). • Physical ability to turn,
bend and lift non-ambulatory adult patients without restrictions.
Additional Considerations • Experience in a long-term care or adult
