Neonatology Locums Job in Virginia Day & Night Coverage Beginning ASAP - Ongoing Assignment Coverage Details: Day coverage: 7:30 AM 5:00 PM Night coverage: 5:00 PM 7:30 AM Staffing model includes two neonatologists during the day and one in-house neonatologist overnight Requirements: Board certified in neonatology with recent experience Clinically active within the past year Minimum of six months of clinical experience within neonatology Virginia medical license Procedures & Services: High-frequency ventilation (HFOV and HFJV) Inhaled nitric oxide Therapeutic hypothermia with aEEG Management of pediatric surgical patients Assignment Details: Level III NICU with 40 beds Average daily census: NICU 14.3; nursery 24.2 Annual NICU admissions (2025 YTD through April): 130 Nurse-driven transport team with physician oversight (approximately 15 transports per year) No ECMO or cardiac surgery, except PDA ligations Six full-time neonatologists on staff Community hospital setting Focus on high-risk obstetrics, trauma, cardiovascular, neurological, and oncology care Women s hospital on campus with Level III NICU Jackson and Coker offers: + Weekly Direct Deposit + Top Rated Malpractice Insurance + In-House Travel Agency + 24/7 Recruiter Availability + Experienced In-House Privileging Coordinators Experience why Jackson and Coker has been recognized by Forbes and Staffing Industry Analysts for our commitment to service excellence.
