Hiring Company: Mid-Atlantic Specialties, LLCOverview:The Deli Trainer plays a key role in developing new customer relationships while maintaining service levels with the existing customer base and is responsible for in-store activities for our retail and food service customers. We are looking for individuals with a passion for providing excellent customer service and who excel working both independently and as a member of a team. This role requires a flexible schedule with occasional weekend work.Job Description:Essential FunctionsComplete 1-on-1 training with customer employees including exceptional customer service, product knowledge, product pairings, slicing technique, etc. Itemized check-in of delivered goods with a customer representativeComplete bi-weekly customer inventoryCreate bi-weekly orders based on established inventory levelsPull credits, create out-of-date memos, and issue customer creditsComplete merchandising resets and recommend opportunities for cross-merchandisingContinuously cultivate relationships with customers by actively engaging with deli management and personnel to understand their customer base, evolving product or training needs, and specific opportunities/challengesComplete additional activities or special projects as assignedMinimum Requirements Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; including basic math and reasoningAbility to speak and read English3-4 years of experience in Deli Operations, customer service, sales, warehouse, or similar roleBasic computer skillsDeli scale operation and sanitationSlicer use, maintenance, and cleaning, Proper slicing technique, product wrapping, and handlingPhysical Requirements Ability to stand for a minimum of 4 hoursAbility to bend, twist, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawlAbility to lift or carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs; push or pull objects up to 600 lbs.Ability to work in a refrigerated/freezer environmentTraining and Certification Requirements (Provided) Product knowledge and customer serviceCompany HistoryServSafe certificationLocation:Midlothian, VATime Type:Full timeDepartment:Commonwealth Deli Provisions
