we are seeking a dynamic Kitchen Manager to oversee the daily
operations of our restaurant kitchen. Job Summary: The Kitchen
Manager is responsible for all aspects of daily kitchen operations
and leads the kitchen team to successfully execute the preparation
and service of all food items. This role requires experience with
kitchen functions such as food safety and quality, food inventory
and ordering, food preparation, team leadership and training, and
budget management. This position works closely with the General
Manager and front-of-house team to ensure smooth kitchen operations
and dining experiences for our guests. Key Responsibilities: - Food
Safety & Quality - Maintain a current ServSafe Food Managers
License - Ensure a safe work environment by implementing and
monitoring safety programs and compliance with regulations -
Evaluate employee performance based on clear standards, holding
individuals accountable for their roles - Uphold food safety, and
handling and sanitation requirements to ensure the well-being of
employees and guests - Food Inventory & Ordering - Conduct routine
and accurate inventories of all food, and kitchen supply items -
Order food, supplies, and equipment to adequately stock the kitchen
while minimizing waste - Food Preparation - Oversee the preparation
and presentation of dishes, ensuring that all menu items are
prepared according to established recipes and presentation
standards - Maintain kitchen equipment, ensuring that it is in good
working condition and that any necessary repairs are made in a
timely manner - Implement kitchen policies and procedures to ensure
consistency and efficiency - Team Leadership & Training - Hire,
train, and schedule kitchen staff, ensuring that they have the
necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively -
Collaborate with the restaurant's management team on special
promotions - Foster the skills, knowledge, and career growth of all
employees, creating a positive work environment - Utilize training
programs to enhance employee performance and customer service -
Identify and develop talent within the team, providing
opportunities for advancement - Budget Management - Participate in
budgeting and financial planning for the kitchen, including
controlling food and labor costs - Update order guides depending on
projected sales volume and special events Qualifications: - Minimum
3 years’ experience in kitchen management roles - Strong leadership
and supervisory skills - Excellent organizational and planning
skills - Experience with Google Suite (Gmail, Google Sheets, Google
Drive) and the ability to learn other cloud-based programs -
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment - Strong
knowledge of food safety regulations and industry best practices -
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with
staff and management - High school diploma or equivalent - Ability
to attain a ServSafe Food Managers License Preferred Skills: -
Culinary or hospitality degree - Experience with industry specific
platforms: MarginEdge, Slack, 7Shifts, Square - Bi-lingual
(English/Spanish) - Fast Casual or Quick Service experience
Benefits: - Salary range: $70,000 - $80,000 - Monthly bonus
