We have a need for a Subject Matter Expert - Red Team Advanced Tools Developer to support a critical DOJ customer. The Subject Matter Expert - Red Team Advanced Tools Developer will provide contractor services for our U.S. Courts contract.Intelligent Waves delivers mission-focused multi-domain operational expertise and innovation to the Government through high-impact technology solutions in cybersecurity, data science, enterprise network & systems engineering, software development, and cognitive human performance.ALWAYS READY. Our ability to operate globally in diverse environments, coupled with our deep understanding of customer needs, enables us to provide cost-effective solutions for complex missions.Location: This Subject Matter Expert - Red Team Advanced Tools Developer is based in the National Capital Region (NCR), with 80% remote work and reporting onsite once a week. Parking and transit expenses are 100% reimbursed by IW.Travel: Up to 10% travel required, reimbursed per IW policy, GSA Per Diem, and DoD JTR.Security Clearance: Must be a U.S. Citizen able to obtain and hold a Public Trust clearance.Adherence to all customer site protocols is mandatory.Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level technical support for red team exercises against production IT systems, facilities, and personnel.
• Serve as the main developer and technical expert on all red team tooling.
• Develop and conduct spear phishing campaigns to gain internal network access.
• Conduct exploitation of external-facing assets.
• Perform post-exploitation actions aligned with exercise objectives.
• Use custom code and COTS frameworks to bypass defenses.
• Follow rules of engagement (ROE) and SOPs for red team operations.Qualifications
  • At least 4 years of experience with Linux internals, kernel modules, system calls, and offensive leveraging.
  • At least 6 years of direct red team or network exploitation experience.
  • At least 4 years developing exploits for embedded systems.
  • At least 4 years testing, documenting, and integrating code with existing frameworks.
  • At least 4 years in offensive software development using low-level languages.
  • Experience with Windows kernel, APIs, and internals for offensive purposes.
  • Experience with modifying and customizing penetration testing frameworks.
  • Ability to independently conduct red team exercises.
  • Experience developing payloads to bypass A/V and EDR solutions.
  • Mentoring experience for junior operators.
  • Experience delivering red team reports and briefings.
  • CRTO certification required or within 3 months of onboarding.
