Job Description:

Amazon Web Services (AWS), a leader in cloud computing, is looking for a dedicated Data Center Security Specialist to join our AMER East team. In this role, you will be tasked with safeguarding AWS's data centers and ensuring that our security protocols align with industry standards and comply with regulatory requirements. You will work closely with operations and facilities management to implement and manage physical security measures, security systems, and emergency response procedures. This position offers the opportunity to work in a high-tech environment and contribute to the security of cloud infrastructure critical to millions of users globally. Assess and establish physical security measures in line with AWS standards. Monitor security systems and manage data center access control. Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency responders. Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments. Develop and implement emergency response protocols. Train data center staff on security best practices and crisis management. Report on security status and suggest improvements to management. Proficiency in security information management systems (SIMS). Experience with CCTV operation and surveillance systems. Strong understanding of access control systems. Ability to analyze and interpret security data. Excellent communication and training skills.
