Job Title: Sr. Full Stack Java Developer Location: Reston, VA

Based in the DC metropolitan area, TechSur specializes in advanced
cloud services, modernization for both IT structures and
applications, leveraging Agile development, and data analytics.
Since we were formed in August of 2016, we have supported multiple
impactful and exciting government programs Position Overview: The
Sr. Full Stack Java Developer will support the design, development,
and maintenance of web applications and systems for a federal
agency. The candidate will collaborate with other developers and
stakeholders to deliver secure, efficient, and user-friendly
solutions in compliance with federal standards and procedures.
Responsibilities : Participate in the complete software development
lifecycle, including requirements gathering, analysis, design,
development, testing, deployment, and support. Design, code, and
maintain both front-end and back-end components for web-based and
batch processing applications using Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript,
and Angular or React. Collaborate with team members and project
stakeholders to troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance application
features. Conduct unit testing, debugging, and participate in peer
code reviews. Prepare and maintain technical documentation and user
manuals as required for federal compliance. Work within Agile teams
and participate in daily standups and sprint planning. Ensure
security and compliance standards are implemented and maintained.
Respond to change management requests and support deployment to
development, staging, and production environments. Required Skills:
Strong proficiency in Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript Experience with
Angular or React frameworks Knowledge of front-end development
principles and responsive design Familiarity with databases (e.g.,
MySQL, PostgreSQL) is a plus Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and
automated testing is an advantage Effective communication and
teamwork skills Analytical mindset and attention to detail Ability
to work in fast-paced, secure federal environments Preferred
Skills: Experience with Spring Boot or RESTful API development
Exposure to automated deployment tools (e.g., Jenkins) and version
control (e.g., Git) Experience delivering solutions in Agile
environments Familiarity with federal compliance, cybersecurity, or
government application standards Education Bachelor’s degree in
computer science or related field (or equivalent practical
experience)
