thrive, keep reading! Leidos is looking to fill a Data Center
Manager position that will incorporate some management of policy
and process as well as some engineering within the Defense Threat
Reduction Agency. This role will be responsible for the monitoring
maintenance of all data center operations. This individual will
collaborate with TPOCs to define the processes and standards that
govern data center activities, monitor activities to confirm
compliance, and track and report data center resource consumption
(power, cooling, and rack space) to the Government. The Customer
utilizes an Agile Framework to plan and successfully complete all
initiatives. Work location includes Fort Belvoir, VA (Primary) and
Reston, VA (Temporary Secondary Location) Clearance: Must hold an
active TS/SCI clearance to start. (US Citizenship required) Primary
Responsibilities: Collaborate with TPOCs to define the processes
and standards that govern data center activities. Recommend,
document, and oversee policies and procedures to meet industry best
practices and to meet required SLOs. Follow Data Center procedures
and processes and establish new and/or modify existing procedures
and processes to improve efficiency. Track, document, and report
data center resource consumption (power, cooling, and rack space).
Build and maintain Data Center diagrams, including topology, racks,
cable plant. Work with engineering and operations staff to
calculate rack space, power, HVAC changes, as systems are moved to
or from Data Centers. Coordinate and control access to data centers
and racks along with logistic support. Communicate maintenance
windows to affected stakeholders. Troubleshoot and diagnose
hardware issues. Manage and maintain presentation of network and
power cabling through neat organization and tagging ensuring quick
identification of supporting endpoints. Perform maintenance on
hardware to include replacing cables, memory and other equipment.
Provide accurate and detailed logs within the ticketing and
messaging systems for callouts and system alerts, as well as for
communication and escalation steps taken to ensure prompt
resolution of supported equipment, processes and teams. Strong
working knowledge with server and network hardware/components,
copper and fiber infrastructure installation and testing, data
center productivity and support tools, applications and software
(Windows, Linux, SSH, RDP, Putty, etc.), and Data Center
Infrastructure Management (DCIM) related tools. Coordinate
equipment/material receiving, shipping and RMA processing support
as/when required. Provide vendor and security escorts, as needed.
Provide general cleaning on raised floor, cabinet/rack exterior
surfaces, work benches and other areas, as needed and on a regular
basis. Support standard and emergency operating procedures for data
center. Provide status reporting regarding Data Center service
availability, performance, capacity utilization as required. Daily
error log reporting and physical DC inspections for general health,
power, cooling, hazards, etc. Coordinates equipment installation
and delivery schedules in accordance with set project plans.
Coordinates sanitization and equipment turn-in through the DLA
Disposition Services (DRMO). Provide data center support 24/7 to
respond to emergency incidents that affect mission-essential
services. Basic Qualifications: Candidate must have a Bachelor’s
with 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 years
of prior relevant experience. Additional years of experience will
be considered in lieu of degree. Must hold an active TS/SCI
clearance to start. Minimum 3-year experience in similar mission
critical facilities. Analytical troubleshooting skills. Ability to
follow specified policies and procedures. Excellent written and
verbal communication skills. Working knowledge with Data Center
Network Hardware (Ethernet, Fiber Channel interfaces). Working
knowledge of Power and HVAC calculations. Working knowledge of rack
spacing/placements with a multi-classification Data Center.
Experience working logistics in a cleared environment including IT
equipment disposition. Prior experience leading and motivating a
diverse, technical workforce through influence. Knowledge of
physical IT infrastructure (e.g. Servers, SANs, Networking, etc.).
Knowledge of physical CE infrastructures & equipment (e.g. UPS,
Generator, AHU, etc.). Performs and execute organization's safety
programs and policies, and compliance knowledge assessments. Break
fixes and RMAs, and hardware support. Monitor data center power and
air conditioning and report power loss or deficiencies. Perform
infrastructure capacity planning and ensure system environments are
adequately scalable for anticipated growth and availability.
Inspect and manage rack installs of accuracy and compliance. Setup
and configuring of all racks to deploy on the network. Experience
working in an AGILE environment. Experience with Data Center
Strategy, Planning, and Roadmap maintenance. Experience with Data
Center consolidation and cloud environment transition. Physical
Requirements: Server rack moving, installing, grounding, Cable
Management, wiring (with CAT 5, 6, or fiber), installing of surge
protectors, and the adjustment of the racks to properly fit
different sized servers. Install, test and label cable and fiber
using standard data center protocols and use cable management
systems. Stage equipment for reutilization or IT asset management
turn-in. Preferred Qualifications: Experience operating and
maintaining systems in a Windows environment. Experience with SAN
or network storage setup and administration. Data Center Management
Certification a plus. Experience working in an Agile environment.
Familiarity with Hyper Converged Infrastructure (HCI) concepts and
solutions. Experience with troubleshooting within a secured
environment. Experience with backup and restore procedures. Meet
DoD 8570.11- IAT Level II certification requirements (currently
Security CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC, or SSCP). If you're looking for

posting date as listed above. Pay Range: Pay Range $107,900.00 -
$195,050.00 The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general
guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
