Zero Trust Engineer The Opportunity: A well-designed network is critical to move data and enable the Department of Defense ( DoD ) to achieve their missions, but how can an organization make sure their network will fit their evolving needs? That’s why we need you, a seasoned Network Engineer who knows how to develop the exact network the DoD needs. As a Zero T rus t Engineer on our project, you’ll coordinate with a dynamic team of thought leaders and experts to design, develop, and deploy lab proof of concepts for new and emerging Zero T rus t technologies. You'll develop and demonstrate new capabilities to prospective clients. Your technical expertise will aid in developing analysis of alternatives by comparing vendor products. You'll develop reference architectures and e nga ge with vendors to determine product capabilities and resolve lab issues. You Have: 5 years of experience in enterprise IT or network or security engineering Experience with computer networking Experience with virtualized, cloud, and containerized infrastructure such as Docker or Kubernetes Experience developing and executing test and implementation plans based on requirements Knowledge of Zero T rus t technologies, including Identity and Access Management ( IAM ) and Privileged Access Management ( PAM ) , Utility Enterprise Data Management ( UEDM ) , Endpoint Detection and Response ( EDR ) , Sof tware Defined Networking ( SDN ) , Zero T rus t Network Access ( ZTNA ) , Data Security Posture Management ( DSPM ) , Data Rights Management ( DRM ) , or Data Loss Prevention ( DLP ) Knowledge of PKI Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel, be detail-oriented, multitask, and prioritize tasks Ability to obtain a Secret clearance HS diploma or GED Nice If You Have: Experience with Zero T rus t technologies Experience with CI / CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code ( IaC ) , or Policy as Code ( PaC ) Experience with API integrations and basic Python scripting Experience with AI / ML, prompt engineering, RAG, and agentic integration Zero T rus t Certifications such as Security, CCNA, CCZT, or CISSP Certification Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information . Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
