Description The registered Ultrasound Technologist performs ultrasound procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of ultrasound principles. Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to apply non-ionizing, high frequency ultrasonic waves to patients for ultrasound diagnosis. Required Qualifications: Coursework/Training: Completion of education program that meets ARDMS prerequisite requirements for RDMS examination. Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Sonography, or Upon hire: National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association Preferred Qualifications: Experience in assisting with the following OB procedures: chorionic villus sampling (CVS), Percutaneous Umbilical Blood Sampling (PUBS), and amniocentesis. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
