Job Description Job Description Employment Type: Part-Time Clearance Requirement: Tier 3 (T3) CAC required Position Overview The Part-Time IT Specialist provides advanced technical support, system administration, and troubleshooting services in support of Department of Defense (DoD) information systems and network environments at Quantico. This role supports commercial and government computer systems and networks, ensuring secure and reliable operations while assisting users with complex technical issues in compliance with applicable security and access requirements. Key Responsibilities Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support for DoD computers, networks, and telephony systems. Perform system administration duties with IT-II level access, including support of MCWIITS and associated telephony platforms. Support and maintain operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux environments. Configure, manage, and troubleshoot networking services including DNS and DHCP. Administer and support Active Directory accounts, group policies, and system access controls. Apply security fundamentals and comply with DoD policies and SECNAVINST 5510.36A. Diagnose and resolve complex system, network, and connectivity issues. Provide technical assistance and guidance to less technical users. Maintain a high level of customer service with clear written and verbal communication. Document system issues, resolutions, and administrative actions in accordance with program procedures. Support system reliability, availability, and operational continuity. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 4 years of direct experience supporting commercial or Government DoD computers and networks. Ability to obtain and maintain a Tier 3 (T3) clearance and Common Access Card (CAC). Demonstrated experience with system administration, operating systems, and networking fundamentals. Strong problem-solving, customer service, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Associate’s degree or higher. CompTIA A certification. CompTIA Network certification. Actively working toward applicable CompTIA certifications.
